Architecture of Inner Space
Projection Installation, HD, 2 channels, 3 min, Artistic Commission for the South Side Festival, 2022
Architecture of Inner Space is a vibrant art installation where a sculptural form built from a donated baby grand piano acts as a canvas for a video projection. By emphasising its exposed internal parts, the artist suggests emotions, thoughts, and fleeting memories as if it has become a living entity. A multilayered soundscape compounds all elements and adds another sensory dimension to the space.
This unique art project is a collaboration with Venice-based composer Anna Dobrucka. The artists worked remotely, interpreting inner space through visuals and sound, reflecting upon human experience and how the perception of reality is formed.
Architecture of Inner Space becomes a conversation between traditional and new image-making methods and music composition. The exhibition features artist’s family analogue films that have been digitised as a part of the visual content mapped in 3D space.
